Accessibility
A people-first agency speaks to everyone. We want everyone to be able to read this site, browse it and contact us easily, however they navigate.
Our approach
The AKA COM website is built to international web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2, level AA). We check every page when it is created and improve it whenever something can be done better.
What we have put in place
- Verified colour contrasts, so that text remains legible for people who have difficulty distinguishing certain colours.
- Information is always conveyed by a word or an icon, not by colour alone.
- Airy typography: short lines, generous line spacing and left-aligned text. It makes reading easier for people with dyslexia.
- A ‘Dyslexia-friendly font’ option in the menu, which displays text in a typeface designed for readers with dyslexia.
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible indicator on the selected element.
- Descriptions for images and subtitles for videos.
- A clear structure, with hierarchical headings and explicit links, readable by screen readers.
- Respect for the ‘Reduce motion’ setting on your phone or computer.
