If a technical or accessibility issue prevents the User from viewing information or using a feature, they may contact AKACOM via our contact form or on +32 479 87 23 08.
4. Information and published content
AKACOM strives to provide clear and up-to-date information. Errors, omissions or outdated information may nevertheless remain. The User may report them via our contact form.
Articles, analyses and other editorial content provide general information. Applying them to a specific situation may require a dedicated assessment or tailored support.
Descriptions of services and past projects do not, in themselves, constitute a firm contractual offer. The scope of any engagement, its deliverables, timescales and price are set out in the commercial documents agreed with the client.
5. Use of the contact form
The contact form may be used to submit a request for information, present a project or arrange a conversation with AKACOM.
The User is asked to provide accurate information and to check their contact details so that the team can respond. Fields required to process the request are marked as such in the form.
Sending a message does not constitute an order, a booking of availability or a commitment by AKACOM to provide any service.
The User undertakes not to send:
- messages that are unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or that infringe the rights of others;
- repetitive or unsolicited advertising messages;
- malicious content or content intended to disrupt the operation of the Site;
- sensitive data or confidential information that is not necessary for their request.
Where a project requires confidential documents to be shared, the User is asked to agree a suitable means of transmission with AKACOM beforehand.
Contacting AKACOM does not automatically subscribe the User to its newsletter.
6. Newsletter
AKACOM offers a newsletter covering, among other things, its news, content, expertise and service offering. It is managed and sent using the Infomaniak Newsletter service.
Subscription is optional. It is based on a voluntary action and on the consent of the person concerned. Each person must use an email address that they are authorised to register.
Subscribers may unsubscribe at any time, free of charge, using the link provided in the emails they receive or by writing to us via our contact form.
Details of how newsletter-related data is processed are set out in the Site’s privacy policy.
7. Responsible use and security
The User undertakes to use the Site in accordance with applicable legislation and to respect the rights of AKACOM and third parties.
In particular, the User shall not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to administration areas, systems or data;
- circumvent security measures or abuse-prevention mechanisms;
- disrupt the operation of the Site, in particular through mass submissions or excessive requests;
- introduce malicious software or exploit a vulnerability in order to access, modify or extract data;
- impersonate any person or organisation.
In the event of abuse or a security threat, AKACOM may take proportionate protective measures, including restricting or blocking the access concerned.
Any suspected vulnerability may be reported via our contact form, without pursuing any further testing or accessing data not intended for the User.
8. Intellectual property
The texts, photographs, illustrations, videos, podcasts, sound creations, graphic elements, logos and other content of the Site are protected by the applicable intellectual property rights.
These rights belong to AKACOM or to their respective holders. Visiting the Site does not entail any transfer of rights in these elements.
Unless authorised by the rights holder or permitted by a statutory exception, their reproduction, adaptation, distribution or communication to the public, in whole or in part, is prohibited.
Any authorised use must respect authorship attributions, credits and any applicable licence terms.
The User may share a link to a page of the Site, provided that such sharing is not presented in a misleading way and does not suggest a partnership with, or endorsement by, AKACOM that does not exist.
Any request for permission to reuse content may be submitted via our contact form.
9. Third-party links and services
The Site may contain links to external websites or feature content provided by third-party services.
AKACOM does not control all of the content, changes or operation of these services. The presence of a link does not necessarily mean that AKACOM endorses all of the information published on the website concerned.
When accessing a third-party service, the User is advised to consult its terms of use and privacy policy.
This provision does not limit AKACOM’s statutory liability.
10. Changes to the Terms of Use
AKACOM may update these Terms of Use to reflect changes to the Site, its features or the regulatory framework.
The date of the latest update appears at the top of the document. Changes apply going forward and do not retroactively alter any existing contractual commitment.
Where a change requires specific notification or express acceptance, AKACOM will take the appropriate steps.
11. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms of Use are governed by Belgian law, subject to any applicable mandatory provisions.
Where a User qualifies as a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive them of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence, where these apply.
In the event of any difficulty, the User may contact AKACOM via our contact form with a view to reaching an amicable solution. This step is not a mandatory precondition for bringing a claim.
Failing an amicable resolution, the competent courts shall be determined in accordance with the applicable legal rules, in particular those protecting consumers.
